MENDOCINO COLLEGE’S DOMINIC JOSEPH NAMED TO CCCBCA NOR-CAL ALL-REGION TEAM

Ukiah, CA — Mendocino College sophomore Dominic Joseph has been named to the 2026 California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) Nor-Cal All-Region Team after an outstanding season as one of Northern California's top two-way players.

Joseph, a sophomore from Modesto, played a major role in leading Mendocino College Baseball to its first overall and conference-winning season in nearly a decade. The Eagles finished the season 19–18 overall and 12–9 in Bay Valley Conference play, becoming one of the hottest teams in Northern California in April.

A First Team All-Bay Valley Conference selection, Joseph excelled both offensively and on the mound throughout the season. Offensively, he led the Bay Valley Conference with a .405 batting average and a .480 on-base percentage, scoring 19 runs and driving in 13 RBI in conference play. Over his two-year career at Mendocino College, Joseph finished with a .392 batting average, a .458 on-base percentage, 40 runs scored, and 34 RBI.

On the mound, Joseph was equally valuable as one of the Eagles' top starting pitchers and late-game competitors. During the 2025–26 season, he posted a 5–2 record with 3 saves, 66.1 innings pitched, and 34 strikeouts, consistently competing against the Bay Valley Conference's top lineups. Over his two-year career, Joseph finished with a 9–6 record, 3 saves, 127.1 innings pitched, and 63 strikeouts.

Joseph delivered several standout performances throughout the season, including a complete-game effort against Contra Costa and an eight-inning outing against Solano before later scoring the game-winning run in extra innings. In the final game of the regular season against Los Medanos College, Joseph took the mound in a must-win game for the Eagles after being drilled in the knee during the opening game of the series earlier that week. Battling through the injury, he delivered six strong innings to help lead Mendocino College to a crucial victory and series win.

His toughness, versatility, and competitiveness helped establish him as one of the premier two-way players in Northern California junior college baseball.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Joseph excelled in the classroom and was named to the 2026 CCCBCA Academic All-State Team, which recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher entering their sophomore season.

"Dominic represents everything we want in a ballplayer," said Head Coach Michael Nackord. "He's a highly competitive player who impacted games in every possible way. Being recognized as one of the top players in Northern California is extremely well deserved."

Joseph's All-Region recognition highlights the continued rise of the Mendocino College Baseball program under Coach Nackord and his staff, who just completed their second season leading the Eagles.
